DRDO Graduates Engineering Apprenticeship Training 2023 Eligibility
Candidates are Eligible for Graduate Engineering Apprentice Training 2023 in the following fields:
Mechanical/ Production/Industrial Engineering, Aeronautical/ Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering/ Information Science & Technology Engineering, Electricals & Electronics / Electronics & Communication. / Electronics & Instrumentation/ Telecom Engineering, Metallurgy/ Material Science, Civil Engineering.
DRDO Graduates Non - Engineering Apprenticeship Training 2023 Eligibility
B.com, B.Sc., BCA, BBA, and B.A. candidates with a graduate degree who are not engineers are eligible for graduate non-engineering apprentice training in 2023.
DRDO Diploma Apprenticeship Training 2023 Eligibility
Diplomas in computer science, engineering, computer networking, mechanical, production, tool and die design, electrical, electronic, electronic communication, and instrumentation Applicants may apply for the 2023 Diploma Apprentice Training Program.
DRDO ITI Apprenticeship Training 2023 Eligibility
ITI Apprentice Training 2023 is available to candidates who hold the following qualifications: Machinist, Tuner, Welder, Electrician, Fitter, Computer Operator & Programming Assistant (COPA).

Age Limit
Graduate Non-Engineering, Engineering, Diploma, and ITI Apprenticeship Training 2023 for DRDO Age restriction as of 16 March 2023: Minimum Age is 18; Maximum Age is 27 Years for Unreserved Category.
30 Years, OBC.
32 Years, SC/ST.
37 years, PWD (person with disability).
Minimum Qualification of Engineering Apprentice Trainees
A degree in engineering or technology granted by a statutory University/ by an institution empowered to award such degrees by an Act of Parliament.
Minimum Qualification of Non-Engineering Apprentice Trainees
A degree granted by a statutory University/ by an institution empowered to award such degrees by an Act of Parliament / Educational Institutes established by a State Government / by an Institute recognized by the State Government or Central Government.
Minimum Qualification of Diploma Apprentice Trainees
- A diploma in engineering or technology granted by a State Council or Board of Technical Educational established by a State Government/ by a university / by an Institute recognized by the State Government or Central Government as equivalent to a diploma.
- Sandwich course student who is undergoing training in order that he/ she may hold a diploma in Engg./Technology.
Minimum Qualification of ITI Apprentice Trainees
- A certificate in vocational Course involving two years of study after the completion of the secondary stage of school education recognized by the All-India Council for Technical education.
- A sandwich course student who is undergoing training in order that he may hold a certificate mentioned in 1st Point.
Important Instructions
- The tenure of the apprenticeship for the above categories /trades would be 12 months commencing from execution of the contract of Apprenticeship.
- Registration of BE / B.Tech. / Diploma (Engineering) & B.Com. / B.Sc. / B.A / BCA / BBA (Non-Engineering) candidates on (www.mhrdnats.gov.in) and ITI candidates on Apprenticeship portal (www.apprenticeshipindia.org) is mandatory. Kindly see respective websites for registration. The registration no. is to be uploaded while filling the online application.
- The above registration no. is liable to be verified at the time of selection / Document verification.
- For B.E / B.Tech. / Diploma (Engineering) Apprentice Trainees & B.Com. /B.Sc. / B.A / BCA / BBA (Non-Engineering) Apprentice Trainees only; Candidates who have passed in the year 2020 /2021/2022 (last three years) as regular candidates are only eligible to apply. Candidates who have passed the qualifying exam earlier than 2020 are not eligible.
- Candidates with higher qualification are not eligible to apply.
- ITI Apprentice Trainees only; Candidates must have completed ITI from NCVT or SCVT Board.
DRDO Apprenticeship Training Stipends
Candidates finally selected for the Apprenticeship Training would be eligible for stipend as given below as per Govt. of India rules:

DRDO Selection Process
- Depending upon the vacancies available in various disciplines, selection of candidates will be carried out by short listing on the basis of Academic Merit/Written Test/Interview as required, subject to satisfactory verification of the documents.
- Details of shortlisted candidates will be published in DRDO website. Candidates are advised to check regularly on the website for updates.
